The Rollei F:X Pro Hard GND 8 (3 stops/0.9) is a graduated neutral density filter. The abbreviation GND stands for Graduated Neutral Density Filter, which refers to a neutral density filter with a transition from tint to transparency. With graduated filters, the coating runs out to one side. The word 'Hard' here means that the filter has a very hard transition from the dark to the transparent area.
You can use the Hard GND for these subjects:
- Shots at the sea
- Sunset or sunrise with a clear horizon line
- Subjects with a clear horizon line and a large imbalance of brightness
Unlike normal ND filters, GNDs are used for subjects where the brightness conditions have a certain gradient and therefore require different exposure for an evenly exposed image. A classic application for a Hard GND8 is, for example, a sunset on the beach, where the foreground does not need to be darkened at all, but the background is still very bright due to the sun and therefore needs to be darkened. The Hard GND8 compensates for such scenarios.
Our Hard GND8 is available in the size 100 x 150 millimeters (100mm filter holder system). It has a density of 0.9 and 3 stops. One stop means that the amount of light falling on the sensor is reduced by one f-stop.

The reflection-free quality of our F:X Pro Filters is 99.5 percent. With these filters, you get exemplary color fidelity – and faithfully reproduce your subject.
To be able to offer you products that you will enjoy for a long time, our filters are made of premium filter glass. Thanks to a special manufacturing process, it is legendary for its resistance and simultaneously guarantees extremely high light transmission and color neutrality. Our anti-scratch layer gives the filter glass its final hardness against mechanical impact and ensures that dirt from grease, water, or mud can also be removed quickly and effortlessly.
But our filters are not only scratch-resistant – but also temperature-resistant. We have tested this under the highest quality standards in scorching heat and biting cold. In short: they are the best filters we have ever built.

Dieser 100-mm-Filter mit abgestufter Neutraldichte (GND8) bietet hervorragende Qualität mit farbneutraler Optik. Kunden sagten, er sei „sehr stabil“ ohne Farbstich, ideal für Landschaftsaufnahmen. Es wurde zwar für die schnelle Lieferung und die Verarbeitungsqualität gelobt, einige stellten jedoch Probleme mit sich verziehenden Halterdichtungen und dem anhaftenden orangefarbenen Knopf fest. Einer stellte fest, dass der Filter länger sein könnte.

Also die Filter im Paket sind wirklich gut, da ich auch den FILTERHALTER MK3 habe, hat der 2 Probleme, die Dichtungen sind weiter problematisch, wellen sich auf undgehen ab.
Der Halter selber ein ein größeres Problem, der orange Druckkopf klemmt dermaßen und lässt sich nur mit viel Mühe wieder in die Ausgangsposition zurückbewegen, das geht wirklich besser.
Das Problem konnte ich bisher nicht lösen,das kleine Bauteile selber konnte ich nicht demonstrieren bzw. zerlegen, also das Problem ist nicht gelöst.

Das Gorillaglas ist einfach grosse Klasse, leicht sauber zu halten und in der Ledertasche excellent aufgehoben! Der harte Übergang ist für knackige Effekte gut, ich gebe mal zwei Beispiele als Link aus der Fotocommunity mit ;-)

the product is made in China and you can see that it is rebranded. I think it's a rebranded H&Y. even the packaging is cheap and poor. a filter like this is not worth 81 euros + shipping. above all the packaging is poor and cheap.
Die Filter sind Ultra schnell versendet worden und bei mir rechtzeitig vor dem Urlaub angekommen- super Service. Weitere Filter habe ich schon länger im Einsatz und bin mit dem System sehr zufrieden. Gerne wieder.

… aber der Filter könnte etwas länger sein damit das gefummel mit der Überlappung der Objektivlinse wegfällt. Auf gefallen ist mir dieses Problem bei einem Sigma 24-70mm f2,8 Sony FE- Mount. Zum anderen ist bei meinen Filter die Beschriftung etwas ausgewaschen angebracht.
